The EA6R+ 72V is a 6-seater electric golf cart with a 72V lithium battery, approximately 40 to 45 miles of range, and a convertible rear seat that folds flat into a cargo bed with an integrated cooler. Three rows of seating carry six passengers in forward and rear-facing configuration, then convert into hauling space when the back seat folds down. Built for families, resort and HOA fleets, retirement communities, and acreage owners who need to move more than four people without buying a second cart. Price: $15,998 fully loaded, with nationwide delivery available from EA Carts (delivery quoted with your order).

Most 6-passenger golf carts on the market run 48V systems that struggle under the weight of a full load. Acceleration drops, top speed sags on hills, and range falls short of what's published. The EA6R+ runs a 72V high-torque AC motor that holds steady whether you have 2 passengers or 6 on board. The lithium battery pack charges faster than lead-acid, requires zero maintenance (no watering, no corrosion, no cell replacement), and holds capacity for years longer than traditional battery packs. That matters when you're putting a cart in service for a resort, a community fleet, or a family that uses it daily.

How the EA6R+ Compares to Other 6-Seater Electric Golf Carts

Three 6 seater golf carts sit next to the EA6R+ in shopping comparisons and in the search results that lead to this page: the Evolution D5 Maverick 6 Plus, the Club Car Onward 6 Passenger, and the E-Z-GO Express 6. Every competitor figure in the table was read from the manufacturer's own website in September 2026. Where a brand does not publish a number, the cell says so instead of guessing. Each cart wins a category. The EA6R+ wins the ones most family and fleet buyers shop on: 72V power, a published 25 mph LSV top speed, a published range, the only convertible cooler-bed in the group, and lifetime battery replacement coverage*.

How it is sold Direct from EA Carts, Carmel, Indiana Evolution dealers Club Car dealers E-Z-GO dealers

What this means in plain English: the lowest sticker in the table is the E-Z-GO Express 6 at $12,149, but that price is the Valor S with lead-acid batteries, and E-Z-GO's lithium Express 6 starts at $14,074. The lowest-priced lithium 6-seater here is the Evolution D5 Maverick 6 Plus at $12,999, a 48V cart that Evolution rates at 19 mph. Club Car's Onward 6 Passenger also runs 19 mph, and Club Car classifies it as a Personal Transportation Vehicle rather than a street-legal LSV; its lithium version is the most expensive cart in the table at $19,699, and it comes with the Club Car dealer network behind it. If a local dealer showroom is your first priority, Club Car or E-Z-GO is the better fit. The EA6R+ is the only golf cart in this comparison that publishes all five of: a 72V drivetrain, a 25 mph LSV speed cap, a range figure, a cooler built into the rear cargo conversion, and lifetime battery replacement coverage*.

Who the EA6R+ Is Built For

Families with more than four people. A 4-seater works until it doesn't. When the kids invite friends, when the grandparents come along, or when you need to bring the dog and the cooler, a 6-seater removes the negotiation. Three rows mean nobody rides on a lap, nobody gets left behind, and the back row can swap to cargo when the day calls for it.

Resort and HOA fleet operators. A single EA6R+ moves a full party from clubhouse to pool to dock without splitting them across two carts. The 72V drivetrain handles full-load runs without sagging, and the lifetime battery replacement program* drops the operating-cost projection for fleet managers comparing total cost of ownership over a 10-year window.

Retirement and 55+ community residents. A 6-seater is the difference between bringing a guest to dinner and asking them to walk. Lithium charging and zero maintenance make it a vehicle that gets used daily for years, not a project that needs a mechanic on call.

Acreage and waterfront property owners. The convertible rear seat is the feature that pays for itself. Carry six people to the dock for a sunset cruise, fold the seat flat on the way back, and haul lake gear, firewood, or feed in the same vehicle. The integrated cooler keeps drinks cold for the run out and groceries cold for the run home.

Wedding venues and event properties. Move the wedding party, the catering staff, or the photographers and their gear in a single trip. Quiet electric drive doesn't compete with the music, and the premium interior reads more "luxury shuttle" than "utility cart" in photos.

What the Convertible Cooler-Bed Does

The third-row rear-facing seat folds flat to expose a cargo bed with an insulated cooler built into the seat base. With the seat upright, the EA6R+ carries six passengers. With the seat folded, it becomes a 4-passenger cart with a hauling bed and a cold storage compartment in the same footprint. No accessories to install, no tools to swap, no second cart to maintain. The mechanism is the same as a fold-down truck bench, with the cooler integrated so it works whether the seat is up or down.

This is the feature most 6-seater competitors skip. Bintelli lists a rear flip seat on the Beyond 6 Seater and Denago lists 4+2 seating on the Rover XL6, but neither spec page lists a cooler built into the seat base. Evolution's D5 Maverick 6 Plus lists a rear storage trunk instead of a folding row.

Street Legal Setup and LSV Compliance

The EA6R+ ships built to the equipment list a U.S. low-speed vehicle needs to register on public roads in most states. That means headlights, taillights, turn signals, brake lights, mirrors, a windshield, a horn, seatbelts on every seat including the rear-facing row, a 17-character VIN, and a top speed governed at 25 mph. Federal LSV equipment standards are set by NHTSA under FMVSS 500, and most states recognize an LSV as legal on roads posted 35 mph or lower.

State rules vary. Florida, Texas, California, Arizona, Georgia, and the Carolinas have well-defined LSV rules the EA6R+ satisfies out of the box. Confirm your state's specific requirements before registering. The cart ships with documentation buyers need for DMV titling.

What's Included with Every EA6R+

Every EA6R+ ships fully assembled. The price covers the 10.1 inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, premium Bluetooth sound system, backup camera, push-button start, key fob, all LED lighting, side mirrors, turn signals, horn, seatbelts, and the convertible cooler-bed. Every EA model comes fully equipped with its listed standard features and available standard color choices; optional accessories, extended service plans, delivery, and applicable taxes are additional. EA Carts ships nationwide, with delivery quoted with your order, and offers financing options for qualified buyers. For shopping context across major brands, see the best golf cart brands ranked and scored pillar. For voltage performance differences, read the 36V vs 48V vs 72V golf cart guide.

Forward-Facing or Rear-Facing Third Row

The EA6R+ third row is rear-facing. Two forward benches carry four people, and the third row faces backward over the rear bumper, the same way the rear bench works on the 2+2 EA4R+. That layout is what makes the cooler-bed possible. When the last two seats are not needed, the seat folds flat into a cargo bed with the cooler built into its base, and the cart carries four people plus their gear. A cart with three forward-facing rows cannot do that without giving up the third row.

Forward-facing 6-seaters trade the cargo conversion for a bus-style cabin where every rider faces the direction of travel. Two manufacturers publish that layout on their own websites. Evolution lists the D5 Maverick 6 Plus and D5 Ranger 6 Plus as "6-seater, all-forward" in its model menu. Club Car describes the Onward 6 Passenger as "three rows of spacious forward-facing seating for six." Denago lists the Rover XL6 as 4+2 seating and Bintelli lists a rear flip seat on the Beyond 6 Seater, which is the same rear-facing arrangement the EA6R+ uses.

EA Carts does not sell a forward-facing 6-seater. If every passenger facing forward matters more to you than a cargo bed, the forward-facing EA model is the 4-seat EA4F+ 60V, a golf cart with forward-facing rear seats so all four riders face the road. For six seats with the cargo conversion, the rear-facing third row on the EA6R+ is the layout, and the built-in cooler is the reason to want it.

How Long Is a 6 Seater Golf Cart? Trailer and Garage Fit

Published 6-seater lengths run from 134 inches to 151.6 inches, roughly 11 feet 2 inches to 12 feet 8 inches, based on the manufacturers' own spec pages. ICON's i60 spec sheet lists 134 by 49 by 75 inches and 1,477 pounds. Club Car lists the Onward 6 Passenger at 143 inches long non-lifted and 148 inches on lifted models, 48.8 to 51.3 inches wide, with electric curb weights from 1,005 pounds (XR lithium) to 1,429 pounds (lead-acid, lifted). E-Z-GO's Express 6 spec table shows 141.5 to 144.5 inches long depending on package, 45.9 to 50.6 inches wide, and curb weights of 1,083 to 1,322 pounds. Evolution publishes the D5 Maverick 6 Plus at 151.6 by 55.8 by 84.4 inches and does not list a weight.

For a trailer, size the bed to the longest cart you might ever load. A 12-foot bed is 144 inches, which covers the ICON, the non-lifted Club Car, and the shorter E-Z-GO packages, but not the lifted Club Car at 148 inches or the Evolution at 151.6 inches. A 14-foot bed is 168 inches and clears every published length above with more than 16 inches to spare for tie-downs. Widths in this group top out at 55.8 inches, so a 60-inch-wide bed fits any of them. The heaviest published weight above is 1,477 pounds before riders or cargo, so check that the trailer's rated payload clears that figure with room for whatever rides on top.

A 6 seater golf cart needs the same math in a garage. Measure your depth against the 134 to 151.6 inch spread and leave room to walk around the rear bumper with the third row folded down.

What a 6 Seater Golf Cart Costs Compared With a 4 Seater

On this site the step from a 4 seater to a 6 seater golf cart is $1,500. The EA4R+ 60V is $14,498 and the EA6R+ 72V is $15,998. EA's model comparison page puts it plainly: "Paying $1,500 more than the EA4R+ gets you 2 extra seats and a 72V battery upgrade." The same page lists Apple CarPlay as standard on the EA6R+ and Bluetooth audio only on the EA4R+, and it explains why the voltage step matters in a 6-seater. A 48V or 60V cart loses acceleration and hill-climbing ability when all six seats are occupied. The 72V system holds its power with two riders or six.

Other manufacturers price the step differently, and all three pairs below come from the manufacturers' own sites. Club Car lists the Onward 4 Passenger (2+2) at $11,299 and the Onward 6 Passenger from $15,799, both with gas or lead-acid power, a $4,500 gap. E-Z-GO lists the Express 4 from $11,869 and the Express 6 from $12,149, a $280 gap between the two entry trims. Evolution's model menu shows the D5 Maverick 4 Plus at $10,999 and the D5 Maverick 6 Plus at $12,999, a $2,000 gap. EA's $1,500 step sits inside that spread and includes the 60V-to-72V battery upgrade, the standard CarPlay display, and the cooler-bed third row.

Which Brands Make 6 Seater Golf Carts?

Here are eight brands that sell a 6 seater golf cart in the United States; each line below carries facts from that brand's own site, checked September 2026.

  • EA Carts EA6R+ 72V: $15,998 published on this page, 72V lithium battery, 25 mph street legal LSV cap, sold direct from Carmel, Indiana.
  • Club Car Onward 6 Passenger: from $15,799 with gas or lead-acid power and $19,699 with Lithium Ion XR, 19 mph, a PTV for neighborhood and golf course use, dealer-sold.
  • E-Z-GO Express 6: from $12,149 (Valor S, lead-acid), ELiTE lithium packages from $14,074, up to 19 mph, dealer-sold.
  • Evolution D5 Maverick 6 Plus and D5 Ranger 6 Plus: $12,999 and $12,599 in Evolution's model menu, 48V lithium, 19 mph max speed.
  • ICON i60 and i60L: price not published, dealer quote only; 48V 5 kW motor, AGM standard, 51V 105Ah lithium upgrade; more than 350 authorized dealers, per ICON.
  • Denago EV Rover XL6: price not published; 51.2V 105Ah LiFePO4 battery, 4+2 seating, 32 miles listed with a 992-pound load; lifetime aluminum chassis warranty.
  • Bintelli Beyond 6 Seater: price not published; lithium standard, 5 kW motor, up to 25 mph, up to 30 to 40 miles, four-year limited warranty.
  • Dach Vehicles Apollo 4+2: sold as "a true 6-seater" with cruise control; no specs or price on its model page.

E-Z-GO has the lowest published sticker, Evolution the lowest published lithium sticker, ICON the largest stated dealer count, and Denago the only lifetime chassis warranty. The EA6R+ wins the categories most buyers shop on. It runs 72V; every brand above that publishes a voltage lists 48V to 56.7V. It is the only one that publishes a price, a 25 mph LSV top speed, and a range figure with direct service, and the only one with a lifetime battery program* and a cooler in the folding third row.

Seatbelts, Safety Equipment, and the Third Row

Every seat on the EA6R+ has its own seatbelt, including both seats in the rear-facing third row. EA's published feature list calls them 3-point seatbelts for every seat. The rest of the safety equipment is in the spec table above: a full set of LED lights (headlights, taillights, brake lights, and turn signals); side mirrors; a horn; a backup camera; hydraulic disc brakes; a DOT-approved windshield; and a 17-character VIN, with top speed governed at the 25 mph street legal LSV cap.

Those items track the federal list. Under 49 CFR 571.500, S5(b), "each low-speed vehicle shall be equipped with" headlamps, front and rear turn signal lamps, taillamps, stop lamps, reflex reflectors, "an exterior mirror mounted on the driver's side of the vehicle and either an exterior mirror mounted on the passenger's side of the vehicle or an interior mirror," a parking brake, a windshield that meets the federal glazing standard, a VIN, "a Type 1 or Type 2 seat belt assembly" that is "installed at each designated seating position," rear visibility per FMVSS No. 111, and an alert sound. S5(a) sets the speed test at not more than 25 miles per hour. The seat belt line is the one that matters most on a 6-seater. A belt at every designated seating position means the third row counts, whether it faces forward or backward.

State rules decide how the cart is titled, registered, and insured, and they vary. The street legal section above lists states with established LSV rules, and your DMV has the final word on registration.

Who Services the EA6R+ Under Warranty?

EA Carts does. There is no dealer in the middle. EA's direct-sales page states it in two sentences: "EA Carts handles warranty service and parts directly from our Carmel, Indiana facility. Parts ship to you, and if a repair is needed that you cannot handle yourself, EA Carts coordinates with local service providers in your area." The same page names the trade-off. You are not driving to a shop ten minutes away, and support comes by phone, email, and shipped parts.

The coverage itself is published on the terms and conditions page. Every new cart carries one year of factory coverage on eligible parts, including the charger and controller, with labor not included. The lithium battery is covered by the Lifetime Key and Battery Replacement Program administered by Axiom, capped at $2,500, for as long as the original purchaser owns the cart, with pre-authorization required before service. EA pays standard ground shipping on approved warranty parts inside the contiguous United States.

If you want labor covered too, three parts-and-labor plans are sold as separate products: 3 years for $750, 5 years for $1,000, or 7 years for $1,200. Each must be bought within 30 days of the cart purchase and carries a $50 deductible per covered repair. The dealer brands work differently. Evolution's written warranty is issued by HDK Plastic Factory LTD USA to buyers "sold by a duly authorized Evolution Electric Vehicles dealer," and ICON states that "all warranty work must be performed by an authorized ICON EV or EPIC Carts dealer or service center," with transport to that dealer at the owner's expense. A dealer brand wins if you want a showroom to drive to. If you want the company that built the golf cart to handle the claim, that is EA.

EA6R+ Frequently Asked Questions

Is the EA6R+ a 6-seater or a 4-seater that fits 6?

True 6-seater with three rows of dedicated seating: a front bench, a middle bench, and a rear-facing third row. Every passenger gets a seat with a seatbelt; nobody rides on the floor or on a lap.

How is the rear seat different from a regular fold-down seat?

The rear seat folds flat like a standard fold-down, but the seat base houses an integrated cooler. Whether the seat is up or down, the cooler is functional. When the seat is folded, the cart carries 4 passengers plus a cargo bed; when it's up, it carries 6 passengers and the cooler still works for the run.

Is the EA6R+ street legal in my state?

The EA6R+ is built to qualify as a federal Low-Speed Vehicle under FMVSS 500, and most states allow LSVs on roads posted 35 mph or lower. Specific registration requirements vary. Florida, Texas, California, Arizona, Georgia, and the Carolinas all have established LSV rules the EA6R+ satisfies. Confirm with your state DMV before registering.

How fast does the EA6R+ go?

25 mph, which is the federal LSV speed cap. The 72V drivetrain holds that speed under full passenger load and on hills, where 48V 6-seaters typically fall short. Published speed is a rated maximum; actual speed varies with load, terrain, and conditions.

How long does the battery last on a single charge?

Approximately 40 to 45 miles of range from the 72V lithium battery, depending on terrain, load, and driving style. Recharge time is 6 to 8 hours from a standard 120V household outlet. The lithium battery is rated to outlast lead-acid by 3 to 5 times and is backed by our lifetime battery replacement program*.

What's the warranty on the EA6R+?

Every new retail cart includes an Axiom lifetime battery and key replacement program, with battery benefits capped at $2,500, plus EA's one-year factory warranty on eligible parts. Labor is not included in the standard factory warranty. Optional 3-, 5-, and 7-year parts-and-labor service plans are available with a $50 deductible.

Can the EA6R+ handle a full load of 6 passengers on hills?

Yes. The 72V system delivers more torque than the 48V drivetrains used on most 6-seaters at this price point, which is why the cart holds top speed and acceleration with a full load. Owners use it on resort properties with grade variation and on hilly residential streets without losing performance.

What colors are available?

Black, White, and Gray exterior options paired with multiple seat colors (Brown, Black, Red, Camel) and stitching variations, for 16 total combinations. All variants ship at the same $15,998 price.

Does the EA6R+ ship to my state?

Yes. EA Carts ships the EA6R+ nationwide. Delivery is quoted with your order.

Is the EA6R+ a good choice for a 6-person golf cart?

Yes. The EA6R+ seats 6 people across three rows: a front bench, a middle bench, and a rear-facing third row, and every seat has its own seatbelt. The 72V drivetrain is sized to carry a full 6-person load without the speed and range drop common on 48V six-seaters, so a loaded cart still reaches its 25 mph LSV top speed and approximately 40 to 45 miles of range.

How much does the EA6R+ 6-passenger golf cart cost?

The EA6R+ 6-passenger golf cart is $15,998 fully loaded, and every color combination is the same price. That price includes the 72V lithium battery with a lifetime battery replacement program*, EA's one-year factory warranty on eligible parts, the 10.1-inch CarPlay and Android Auto display, and full LSV street-legal equipment. Nationwide delivery is quoted with your order.

How long is a 6 seater golf cart?

Between 134 and 151.6 inches, based on published manufacturer specs. ICON lists the i60 at 134 inches, Club Car the Onward 6 Passenger at 143 inches (148 lifted), E-Z-GO the Express 6 at 141.5 to 144.5 inches depending on package, and Evolution the D5 Maverick 6 Plus at 151.6 inches. Widths run 45.9 to 55.8 inches. A 14-foot trailer bed (168 inches) clears every one of those lengths; a 12-foot bed (144 inches) does not clear the lifted Club Car or the Evolution.

Is the EA6R+ third row forward-facing or rear-facing?

Rear-facing. The front two rows face forward and the third row faces backward, and that third row is the seat that folds flat into the cargo bed with the built-in cooler. Evolution and Club Car publish forward-facing 6-seat layouts. EA's forward-facing model is the 4-seat EA4F+ 60V. If six seats and a cargo conversion both matter, the rear-facing EA6R+ layout is the one that delivers both.

How much more does a 6 seater golf cart cost than a 4 seater?

At EA Carts, $1,500: the EA4R+ 60V is $14,498 and the EA6R+ 72V is $15,998, and that step includes the 72V battery upgrade and standard Apple CarPlay. Manufacturer-published pairs elsewhere range from $280 (E-Z-GO Express 4 from $11,869 to Express 6 from $12,149) to $4,500 (Club Car Onward 4 Passenger at $11,299 to Onward 6 Passenger from $15,799), with Evolution's D5 Maverick step at $2,000 ($10,999 to $12,999).

Who services the EA6R+ if something breaks?

EA Carts, directly from its Carmel, Indiana facility. Warranty parts ship to you, and EA coordinates with local service providers in your area for repairs you cannot do yourself, as stated on the direct-sales page. Standard coverage is one year on eligible parts, labor not included, plus the lifetime battery replacement program*. Optional 3-, 5-, and 7-year parts-and-labor plans carry a $50 deductible per covered repair.

Which brands make 6 seater golf carts?

EA Carts, Club Car, E-Z-GO, Evolution, ICON, Denago, Bintelli, and Dach all sell a 6 seater golf cart in the United States. Only four of them publish a price on the manufacturer's own site. The EA6R+ is $15,998. The Club Car Onward 6 Passenger starts at $15,799, the E-Z-GO Express 6 at $12,149, and the Evolution D5 Maverick 6 Plus is $12,999. ICON, Denago, Bintelli, and Dach are dealer-quote only.

*Battery coverage is provided through our Lifetime Key & Battery Replacement Program, included with every new cart purchase and administered by Axiom Product Administration. It covers battery replacement for as long as the original purchaser owns the cart, up to $2,500 in total replacement cost, with pre-authorization required before service. Full program terms are provided at purchase.

EA Carts are fabulous. I evaluated Club Car and EZ Go. I also looked at other electric only brands. The quality is excellent. I love the quality stitching and appearance of the leather seats. Apple Play is cool. I bought the six seater with 70V. The business owners were available and on top of customer service.

FAQs

Yes. All EA Carts come equipped with DOT-approved windshields, seat belts, turn signals, and headlights/taillights that make them fully street-legal in most states. Always check local regulations regarding speed limits and registration requirements.

Charging an EA Cart is highly cost-effective, typically ranging between $0.10 and $0.15 per kilowatt-hour. This means that you can fully charge your electric golf cart for just a few dollars. This is not only more cost-efficient compared to fueling a gas-powered golf cart, but also environmentally friendly and easier on your wallet over time.

Our EA Carts can travel between 30 to 45 miles on a single charge, depending on the model and usage conditions. This makes them perfect for daily errands, leisurely cruises around your community, or a full day on the golf course.

Owning an EA Cart brings several advantages:

  • Eco-Friendly: EA Carts produce zero emissions, helping you reduce your carbon footprint.
  • Cost-Effective: Save on fuel costs and enjoy lower maintenance expenses compared to gasoline-powered vehicles.
  • Versatile: Perfect for more than just golf; great for community transportation, resort exploring, and more.
  • Social and Fun: A quiet, smooth ride perfect for enjoying time with friends and family while participating in outdoor activities.

EA Carts are designed to be low-maintenance. Essential upkeep includes:

  • Battery Care: Our carts are equipped with Lithium-ion batteries. The only required maintenance is to keep it clean, make sure wires are tight. See manual for additional maintenance.
  • Tire and Brake Maintenance: Keep tires inflated to the correct pressure and check brakes regularly to ensure safety.
  • General Care: Keep your cart clean and dry to prevent rust and wear.

In most states, any golf cart used on public roads must be registered as a low-speed vehicle (LSV). Registration typically requires obtaining a title, paying a registration fee, and ensuring your cart is equipped with necessary safety features like seat belts and lights. Please consult with your local DMV for specific regulations in your area.

Yes, if you intend to drive your EA Cart on public roads, obtaining liability insurance is typically necessary to cover potential damages or injuries. Depending on the state, additional types of coverage such as personal injury protection might also be required. While insurance for off-road use isn’t mandated, it is advisable to protect your investment against theft, damage, or accidents.
