Club Car is close behind, with Onward pricing from $10,099 to $19,699. Yamaha publishes across Drive2 and UMAX. EA Carts publishes every active model from $11,898 to $22,998. One E-Z-GO caveat: its MY26 Liberty page still advertises a promotion that expired July 1, and the base warranty page returns a 403 error, so the non-battery term is unreadable.
Best for the Golf Course
Yamaha Drive2 PTV. Course use needs neither 25 mph nor a VIN. The PowerTech AC lists at $10,549 with a 48V AC drivetrain, six 8V Trojan T875 lead-acid batteries and a 19.5 mph top speed for two. The PowerTech Li swaps in a single RoyPow LiFePO4 pack for $14,020. Both carry a standard 4-year limited vehicle warranty, the longest whole-vehicle term anyone here publishes.
Check two things first. Yamaha publishes no range figure for any electric model, and its LED headlights and side mirrors are optional accessories. If you want lithium at course prices, the EA2GOLF 60V at $11,898 runs a 60V 150A lithium pack and a 5kW AC motor with a 10.1-inch touchscreen and mirrors included.
Best for Neighborhood and Street Use
Club Car. The documentation here sits a tier above everyone else. Club Car states its vehicles meet "not only the U.S. Federal Safety Standard FMVSS 500, but also the more rigorous automotive SAE J2358 Standard." That rule is Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 500, the equipment floor for any low-speed vehicle on public roads.
The Onward 4 Passenger LSV lists at $14,299 and the Onward 4 Forward LSV at $14,999 with lithium or $16,999 with the Li-Ion XR pack. Both run 25 mph and are rated street legal on roads posted 35 mph and under. Standard kit includes premium DOT automotive glass, a rear backup camera, a 7-inch display, an acoustic vehicle alerting system and four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes on the 4 Forward. The AlumiCore ladder-style aluminum box beam frame is the other differentiator, and Club Car claims the rust-proof design lasts up to three times longer than steel. LSV models get VINs; non-LSV Onwards get serial numbers.
E-Z-GO's Liberty LSV at $15,799 uses nearly identical compliance language. EA6R+ 72V. Six seats is where the missing-price problem gets worst, and this is the only six-seater in the set publishing price, range and street-legal equipment together. It lists at $15,998 with a 72V lithium pack, up to 45 miles of range, a convertible rear seat that folds flat into a cargo bed and a 25 mph LSV top speed. Seat belts are fitted at every position including the rear-facing row, alongside a 17-character VIN, hydraulic disc brakes and a backup camera. Club Car's Onward 6 Passenger shows $15,799 on the model card, but it is a 19 mph personal transportation vehicle outside the 2026 street-legal lineup. EA4x4 72V. There is little competition here, mostly because nobody else publishes specifications. It runs a 72V 180Ah lithium pack with a 15kW high-torque AC motor, true four-wheel drive, up to 40 miles of range and a 6 to 8 hour recharge. Top speed is 25 mph in LSV mode and up to 28 mph unrestricted. Rain cover, remote winch, ball hitch and roof rack are included, not sold as extras.
Now the honest part. At $22,998 the EA4x4 72V is the most expensive published price here, above Yamaha's UMAX 4 Li at $21,599 and Club Car's Onward 6 Li-Ion XR at $19,699. GEM lists an eX all-terrain street-legal UTV and ICON a dealer-adjustable lift system, but neither publishes a price.
Best on Documented Warranty
ICON EV, and not because the terms are longest. ICON publishes the only warranty page here where term, scope, exclusions and voiding conditions sit in one readable document. Vehicles get a 3-year manufacturer's limited warranty. Eco Lithium batteries get 8 to 10 years depending on model, and AGM batteries 2 years. ICON also states that coverage is non-transferable, that cart and battery must be registered separately within 60 days, that warranty work must go through an authorized dealer, that a non-Eco lithium battery voids the warranty, and that transport costs are yours. Restrictive terms, but disclosed, which is more than most manage.
Longer terms exist in narrower scopes. Yamaha's 4 years is whole-vehicle but covers Drive2 only, since every UMAX publishes 2 years and the Rally 2+2 and UMAX 4 publish no warranty row at all. E-Z-GO publishes 8-year coverage on all ELiTE lithium batteries plus a stackable 360 plan worth up to 72 additional months. Denago lists a lifetime aluminum chassis, 8 years on its LiFePO4 battery and 2 years on other parts, though its warranty PDF returns a 404. EA Carts publishes a lifetime lithium battery term on a 1-year parts base, with paid extensions to 3, 5 or 7 years at $750, $1,000 and $1,200. What Separates a Good Electric Golf Cart From a Cheap One
Three things, and price is the last of them.
Battery chemistry comes first. Lithium iron phosphate packs like Denago's 51.2V 105Ah unit and ICON's 51V Eco Lithium behave nothing like the six 8V Trojan lead-acid batteries in a Drive2 PowerTech AC. Cycle life is the number that matters and almost nobody publishes it. Evolution states more than 3,500 cycles on its lithium packs; GEM states 2,000 on its 8 kWh and 16 kWh units. Second is what the listed price includes, which is where sticker comparisons fall apart. ICON's 2025 i40 spec sheet lists the windshield as "Foldable Acrylic/Optional DOT Acrylic," so DOT glass is an upgrade, and that same safety list has no rearview mirror. Bintelli's standard Beyond list includes a DOT windshield, three-point belts and a reverse camera but omits mirrors, horn and VIN, all three required by the federal LSV rule. EA's EA4R+ page takes the opposite position: "No upgrade packages. No add-on fees." A $9,999 cart needing $3,000 of dealer-fitted equipment to be road legal is not a $9,999 cart.
Third is warranty scope, where the headline and the document diverge. Evolution advertises a lifetime frame warranty, and its terms page defines frame as chassis only, excluding drivetrain, suspension, roof supports, paint and corrosion. That coverage is non-transferable, and the warrantor is HDK Plastic Factory LTD USA, not Evolution. Club Car's battery coverage expires at the earlier of 6 years or 2.8 megawatt hours, a usage cap rather than a time cap. Read the scope line, not the headline.
Range and Charging, Honestly
Most manufacturers publish no range figure at all, and those that do measure it under conditions that make cross-brand comparison meaningless.
Start with who publishes nothing. Yamaha states no range for any electric model, and E-Z-GO publishes no kWh or amp-hour rating for its ELiTE lithium batteries. Evolution publishes no range on any model page. Bintelli publishes no battery voltage or capacity at all.
Now the ones that do, and why the numbers do not line up. GEM claims up to 125 miles on the e2, 117 on the e4 and 86 on the e6, far above anyone else. Tomberlin claims up to 80 miles for the Ghosthawk on a 10 kWh EVOLVE pack. Denago says "40+ Miles" for the Rover XL but 32 miles for the XL6 and XXL under a 992 lb load in Gear D, a completely different test. Evolution's battery page quotes 40 to 50 miles on its 4.8 kWh pack, measured with two seats at 13 mph. Club Car publishes roughly 30 miles on the 4.0 kWh pack and 50 or more on the 7.0 kWh XR. EA publishes up to 40 miles on the EA4R 48V and EA4x4, and up to 45 on the EA6R+.

What Owning an Electric Golf Cart Is Actually Like
Specifications decide the shortlist. The round, the errand and the driveway decide whether you were right.
On the golf course, the things that matter are quiet, torque on a wet rise and whether the cart is comfortable over eighteen holes. A golfer carrying a full bag and a passenger is asking more of the drivetrain than the brochure photo suggests, and this is where lead-acid and lithium part company. A lead-acid pack sags under load late in the round; a lithium pack holds voltage until it is nearly empty. Steep hills are the honest test, and almost nobody publishes a grade rating, so ask a dealer to demonstrate one before you buy.
Off the course, the daily experience is charging routine and storage. Every electric golf cart here plugs into a standard household outlet, and the practical question is whether you can park within a cable's reach of one.
